This chapter focuses on practical communication skills essential for professional and academic success, emphasizing radio reports and group discussions (GDs). It introduces the importance of making effective presentations, detailing how to prepare and deliver concise and informative radio reports. The chapter also examines strategies for performing well in interviews, including confidence, politeness, listening skills, honesty, and appropriate appearance. It further explores the accurate presentation of statistical data, using the case study of Chennai street vendors during Covid-19 as an example. Lastly, it discusses group discussions as a tool for recruitment and decision-making, highlighting the language and etiquette needed to promote teamwork and respectful dialogue.
