The chapter seeks to analyze the evolution, determinants, volume, and composition of capital flows and FDI between Poland and select Asian economies since the 1990s to the present. The chapter seeks to assess the presence of Polish companies in select Asian markets and identify the barriers they encounter. The geographical scope of the analysis in the chapter is limited to Poland and major Asian economies, namely China, India, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Philippines, and Australia. Given the scope of economic cooperation, the chapter focuses mostly on Poland’s economic linkages with the biggest (and most visible in the Polish FDI landscape) Asian economies: China, Japan, India, and South Korea as well as investment relations between Poland and Central Asia. The final section concludes and makes some projections regarding the future structure of capital flows between Poland and Asia.
