Disciform keratitis remains an important vision-threatening entity seen in viral keratitis. This chapter provides a detailed overview of disciform keratitis, including its epidemiology, aetiology, pathophysiology, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, investigations, treatment, and recent advances. Although Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV) is the most common cause of disciform keratitis, other infective agents like varicella-zoster virus (VZV), Adenovirus, Cytomegalo Virus (CMV), and monkey-pox virus are also reported. Patients are typically impacted in their early decades of life; therefore, the condition has a significant influence on quality of life and vision among young, productive adults.
