Merangin Jambi UGGp is identical to the Araucarioxylon wood fossils which has a complete record of geological processes during the Permian. The stratigraphic formation consists of Carboniferous Pennsylvanian – Quaternary, but there is no detailed explanation of the tectonic events. So it is necessary to study the stratigraphy of the composed rock formations through tectonic reconstruction which aims to find out records of geological events taking into account the geodynamics that occurred on the Sumatra Island. Explain tectonic reconstruction through visualization in order to provide an overview of the tectonic setting on the geological events. Therefore, the use of the GIS is method that combines remote sensing, geological analysis as a database, programming using ArcGIS 10.8 and Global Mapper 19, and visualization design, so that it can produce representative visual forms. Tectonic reconstruction in the geopark can be divided into eight episodes of geological event covering Gondwana Rifting in the Pennsylvanian Carboniferous, Collision in the Permian, Trunscurrent System in the Triassic, Ngalau Subduction in the Jurassic, Woyla Arc Obduction in the Cretaceous, Indian Subduction in the Paleogene, Great Sumatran Fault in the Neogene, Series of Active Volcanoes in the Quaternary. The events in each tectonic episode that occur provide an overview of the tectonic evolution that occurred in the geopark. Thus, tectonic reconstruction using the GIS method is effective in visualizing a geological event which provides detailed information from the geological record that has occurred in the geopark. So it can provide scientific value from the geoheritage in the geopark.

摘要
