In addition to meeting the increased demands of contemporary military warfare on helicopter technology, tilt-rotor aircraft provide a number of important advantages, including fast speed, high payload, extended range, etc. It’s also appropriate for a wide range of civil aviation mission situations and is the primary focus of future technological innovation and development in helicopters. This paper systematically reviews and evaluates the current state of development of typical tilt-rotor aircraft both domestically and internationally. Additionally, military demand analysis is conducted by building the battle scenarios of the US military’s tilt-rotor aircraft. A systematic analysis and recommendations for the future development of flight control systems, intelligent avionics systems, and unmanned systems related to tilt-rotor aircraft are given, based on the benefits of various tilt-rotor aircraft.
