Taiwan and Israel: Hesitant Rapprochement 1971–1993
摘要
The main reasons for the changing attitude of Taiwan toward Israel can be summed up in the following points: ties with Israel were increasingly seen by Taiwan as part of its pragmatic approach to the changing diplomatic and economic realities. As long as Taiwan adhered to the One China policy that meant it had to do its utmost to reunify China under the KMT, there was little room for a more pragmatic policy.
