While Jewish presence in China from the late ninth century to the end of the nineteenth century has little bearing on future Israel-Taiwan relations, it is worthwhile to mention its existence and what led to its eventual downfall and almost complete disappearance. There are no records indicating Jewish presence in China in ancient times.
