Land Readjustment: Reforming Property Boundaries and Proportional Reallocation of Rights and Obligations
摘要
This chapter deals with land readjustment (or replotting) as a planned realignment of cadastral boundaries to conform to a new urban layout with multiple individually owned lots or an area under traditional land tenure with lots not allocated according to any formal layout. Unlike land resumption, this method respects private property rights because affected proprietors are reallocated in-situ shares in a readjusted layout.
