Due to their characteristics of low cost, longer hang time and smaller volume after deflation, inflatable balloons are well-suited as aerial base stations for emergency communication applications. Consequently, designing high-performance balloon-conformal array antennas is critical for diverse emergency communication requirements. This chart presents three balloon-conformal array antennas for emergency communication applications, progressively improving beam coverage from directional to half-space beam coverage.
