HealthVault: Trustworthy Medical Records on the Blockchain

In today’s healthcare world, protecting patient information from cyber threats is critical. Traditional electronic health records (EHRs) are at risk of unauthorized access, tampering, and data breaches due to centralized storage systems and outdated security measures, making sensitive patient data an easy target for hackers. The healthcare industry has been converted from paper-based medical record to electronic health record (EHR). However, the current EHR framework face challenges in secure data storage. Current patient data is stored in centralized servers, which makes it susceptible to single point of failure, hacking, and unauthorized access. The aim of this project to secure medical record management by with help of blockchain-based designed to provide secure, efficient, and decentralized management of medical records. The healthcare provides blockchain network, ensuring seamless data exchange and smart contract execution. Our applications include secure sharing of patient data, real-time access to medical histories for emergency responders and maintaining data integrity in medical filed. Using Solidity for smart contracts, Ethereum blockchain and IPFS for data storage, this system ensures that patient information is safely stored and easily accessible to authorized users. The system providing scalability and flexibility with dedicated contracts for patient registration, medical record storage, and access control.
