The Spiritual Formation and Feature Analysis of The Chinese University of Hong Kong in Modern Times
摘要
This chapter examines the unique spiritual development of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) in the context of modern Chinese history. Unlike The University of Hong Kong (HKU), which primarily adopted British university ideals due to Hong Kong’s colonial history, CUHK developed distinct characteristics. This chapter uses literature reviews, on-site investigations, and interviews with faculty and students to analyze the modern university spirit in the Hong Kong region. It focuses on how CUHK’s spirit reflects modernity while maintaining its unique identity.
