Designing Athletic Training Programs Using Monte Carlo Simulations: A Multi-objective Optimization Approach
摘要
This paper examines the design of training programs for athletes that balance multiple goals simultaneously. Rather than providing a single ideal plan, we develop a set of optimal programs (a “Pareto front”), allowing coaches and athletes to select the option that best suits their needs. We employ Monte Carlo simulations to account for daily fluctuations in an athlete’s readiness or energy levels. By modeling how an athlete might respond in various scenarios, we identify effective training plans, even when circumstances deviate from expectations.
