Driving Sustainability: Green Steel Production Powered by Green Hydrogen vs Electric Vehicles—A Future of Cleaner and Greener Innovations
摘要
The global effort to combat climate change requires innovative solutions to reduce carbon emissions across various industries. The steel and transportation sectors are among the most significant sources of greenhouse gases. Green Steel production, powered by green hydrogen, and the widespread adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) are key pathways to sustainability. This chapter explores the technological, economic, and environmental aspects of these innovations, comparing their roles in reducing emissions and supporting a low-carbon economy. Focusing on green hydrogen in steelmaking and renewable energy-driven EVs, the analysis highlights challenges, opportunities, and future potential. Both technologies, individually and in combination, can play a significant role in achieving global decarbonization goals, helping to create a greener and more resilient future.
