Analysis and Optimization of Steering Wheel Shimmy During High-Speed Driving of Pickup Truck
摘要
This article systematically studies the shimmy of a certain Pickup truck steering wheels. Based on engineering practice, a finite element model of the entire vehicle is established to analyze and diagnose the shimmy phenomenon of the steering wheel during high-speed driving. The accuracy of the simulation model is verified by correlation with the test results. Then sensitivity of various component parameters to the shimmy of the steering wheel is analyzed. Combined with engineering practice, improvement schemes are proposed, and final experiments confirm that the shimmy of the steering wheel has been significantly improved. This study provides an effective solution to the shimmy of steering wheels.
