UDS machines are available in various configurations but all of them have similar basic functioning components for performing uroflowmetry/cystometry and pressure flow studies. Several add-on modules include that for EMG, urethral pressure profilometry, etc. This chapter deals with the basic urodynamics machine, catheters and seating options—knowledge of which is essential for setting up a urodynamics lab.
