This chapter presents the validation of a conceptual framework for the adoption of blockchain technology for information management within the construction industry. Recognising the limitations of existing information systems in construction, the study employed a qualitative research approach to explore expert insights and derive factors influencing blockchain adoption for information management. Data was gathered through semi-structured interviews with 16 purposively selected experts from the built environment, academia, and financial technology sectors globally. The interviews focused on constructs influencing adoption, anticipated outcomes, and contextual considerations relevant to blockchain technology. Thematic content analysis was conducted using ATLAS.ti software to code and categorise interview responses into recurring themes. The analysis revealed five key constructs critical to blockchain adoption: Technological Infrastructure, Organisational Culture, Industry Environment, Policy and Regulation, and Technology Governance. Each construct was further broken down into latent variables, including training requirements, system compatibility, managerial support, regulatory frameworks, and stakeholder engagement. Additionally, the chapter identifies expected outcomes such as improved information security, decentralised access to data, enhanced traceability, and real-time decision-making. To ensure the reliability of findings, the study incorporated credibility measures such as data saturation, expert validation, and consistent interview procedures. The results indicate that blockchain adoption is shaped by a complex interaction of technological readiness, organisational dynamics, regulatory clarity, and environmental pressures. This chapter contributes to the growing discourse on digital transformation in construction by providing a validated, stakeholder-informed framework that can guide both theoretical development and practical implementation. The insights offer implications for policymakers, industry practitioners, and researchers aiming to enhance information management and improve project performance through blockchain integration.
