U R Rao Satellite Center builds satellite for communication, remote sensing, scientific experiments, and weather forecasting. Satellite structure consists of delicate elements like solar panels, optical and communication payloads, and power distribution packages and batteries. These delicate components have a fragility/operation levels and during transportation it is required that loads should not cross the limits. Road/Air shipment of integrated satellite and its components is always a challenge. Severe transportation loads can affect the health of satellite and its components. Satellite transportation system is equipped with wire rope isolator; these isolator attenuates the shock and vibration load coming to satellite. This paper discusses the design of aluminum cross frame system mounted on wire rope isolator. Analytical modeling along with measured levels during road transportation has been discussed in the paper.
