Mechanical and Durability Properties of Sugarcane Bagasse and Steel Slag Ash-Based Geopolymer Bricks
摘要
This paper describes the process of insulating Geopolymer bricks (GPBS) from steel slag (SS) and Sugarcane bagasse ash (SA). The objective was to evaluate the performance of GPBS by analysing parameters such as porosity, water absorption (normal and hot), acid resistance, bulk density, and compressive strength. The geopolymer brick samples were prepared using different NaOH concentrations of 8, 10, and 12 M and cured for 7, 28, and 90 days. At a concentration of 12 M NaOH, the maximum compressive strength was achieved. The results show that increasing NaOH concentration increases compressive reduces water absorption, porosity, and acid attack.
