A Circularly-Polarized Dual-Port Dielectric Resonator Antenna Based on Meta-Surface
摘要
A dual-port ceramic radiator is discussed and evaluated in this article. To induce the HEM11δ mode in the cylindrical dielectric, an octagon-shaped slot is used as an excitation source. Moreover, a meta-surface covering the dual-port radiator is placed to transform linear waves into circularly polarised (CP) waves between 5.22 and 5.52 GHz. With a port isolation of more than 25 dB, the suggested radiator satisfies acceptable specifications and functions efficiently in the 5.15–5.65 GHz frequency range. Moreover, the suggested antenna’s appropriateness for wireless LAN (5.5 GHz) applications is validated by good far-field and diversity factor values.
