However, the cloud needs to handle a number of security concerns, such as distributed denial of service (DDoS). An attack of this kind prevents authorized users from accessing a network or system. DDoS attacks on the cloud do not alter data; instead, they result in attacks on cloud resources, cloud services, and the frameworks that use them. This paper explains the different kinds of DDoS attacks and how cloud environments are impacted by them. Furthermore, the paper examines various defense strategies that could be employed to thwart such assaults.
