Solids are the primary dosage form of drugs, with approximately 70% of drugs being in solid dosage forms. The crystal form of a drug has a significant impact on its properties. This chapter briefly introduces the lattice structure of crystals, the phenomenon and forms of polymorphic drugs, the effects of drug crystal form on drug melting point, solubility, and dissolution rate, as well as the process and main methods of crystal structure prediction.
