Gamified Physical Education Participation and Its Impact on Mental Well-Being Among Adolescents
摘要
The increasing prevalence of mental health issues among adolescents, including stress, anxiety, and depression, highlights the urgent need for innovative approaches to promote psychological well-being. Physical education is recognized as a valuable tool for enhancing mental health; however, limited studies have investigated the impact of gamified physical education activities on adolescent mental well-being. This study aimed to explore the relationship between gamified PE participation and mental well-being, focusing on indicators such as stress, anxiety, and emotional resilience. A quantitative survey method was employed, involving 385 adolescents from selected college students. Findings revealed that adolescents who participated in gamified PE activities reported improved emotional resilience, reduced stress levels, and enhanced motivation compared to those engaging in traditional PE activities. The study contributes to the growing knowledge of gamified PE by demonstrating its potential to promote positive mental health outcomes among adolescents. A significant recommendation is to integrate gamified elements into school PE curricula, focusing on improving student engagement and psychological well-being. Future research should further investigate the optimal design and implementation of gamified PE activities to maximize their mental health benefits.
