In the great powers’ competition for global supremacy, many global players have doubts about the sustainability of the Chinese system and argued that China had become an un-investible country due to problems in the banking system, the property market, an ageing population, the high debt burden, a weak private business environment, an opaque business framework with poor governance, the lack of rule of law, a corrupted government… the list goes on. The concerns stemming from these doubts then become not just a savage China challenging a rules-based US but also an eventual implosion of the Chinese system upending the world system.
