Compared to green buildings, the core features of carbon–neutral buildings are reflected in the following key aspects: Firstly, the design of the building's envelope system is emphasized to achieve high-energy-saving standards; secondly, the importance of fully utilizing renewable energy is stressed; thirdly, the concept of zero carbon is implemented in every stage of the building, including construction and operation phases; finally, special emphasis is placed on the operation phase of the building, where carbon emissions account for over 80% of the total. This not only involves the energy consumption of the building itself but also includes the activities of people within the building. These characteristics highlight the environmental benefits of carbon–neutral buildings and their advantages in energy conservation.
