Atlas of Small Bowel Diseases Diagnosed by Balloon-Assisted Enteroscopy
摘要
Balloon-assisted enteroscopy (BAE) is essential for the diagnosis and treatment of small bowel diseases, including neoplastic, inflammatory, vascular, diverticular, and miscellaneous lesions. This chapter presents an endoscopic atlas of BAE findings in various small bowel lesions. The atlas of neoplastic lesions included BAE images for adenoma, adenocarcinoma, lymphoma, gastrointestinal stromal tumor, neuroendocrine tumor, metastatic cancer, hamartomatous polyp of Peutz-Jeghers syndrome, hemangioma, ectopic pancreas, and lipoma. The atlas of inflammatory lesions included BAE images for Crohn’s disease, tuberculosis, Behçet’s disease, nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drug-induced ulcer, ischemic enteritis, graft-versus-host disease, cytomegalovirus enteritis, eosinophilic enteritis, radiation enteritis, and Henoch-Schönlein purpura. The atlas of vascular lesions included BAE images for endoscopic classification of small bowel vascular lesions (angioectasia) and lymphangiectasia. The atlas of miscellaneous small bowel diseases included BAE images for amyloidosis, foreign bodies, and intestinal adhesion.
