Nephrocalcinosis
摘要
Nephrocalcinosis represents calcifications in the renal parenchyma. It can be divided with respect to the locations of calcification. Calcification confined to, or predominantly located in the renal cortex is known as cortical nephrocalcinosis. When the cortex is spared and calcium salts are deposited only in the medullary interstitium or tubular lumina, the condition is known as medullary nephrocalcinosis. Medullary nephrocalcinosis is much more common.
