Voltage Sag Mitigation in a Utility Grid-Tied SPV Wind Hybrid Microgrid by STATCOM
摘要
Voltage instability means a sudden increase or decrease in voltage of the power system, which may be caused by a fault occurring in the system, overloading, load changes, line outages, etc. Due to voltage instability in the power system, it may impact sensitive equipment, downtime in certain industries, etc. In this proposed system, MATLAB simulation has been done on a 400 V supply frequency of 50 Hz tied to a 1 kW SPV plant and a 2.5 KW wind farm hybrid system integrated with a STATCOM controlling PWM-VSI. It has been investigated that a voltage sag has occurred in the 400 V system due to a line fault (L-L) in the system. It has been resolved by integrating the SPV-wind farm+STATCOM tied to the utility grid of a 400 V system.
