This chapter unravels how China has attempted to improve the quality of teaching and learning in higher education through the massive teaching-focused university-industry collaborations (UIC) between enterprises and higher education institutions. Apart from introducing the rapid development of the teaching-focused UIC in quantity terms over the last decade, the chapter provides theoretical foundations that can inform the practices of teaching-focused UICs in the Chinese context, as well as some highly relevant policy documents guiding the endeavor. Furthermore, a total of eight important means through which industrial strengths have been leveraged to add fuel to higher education quality have been identified, which provide practical implications for higher education institutions worldwide that aim to carry out reform to their teaching and learning patterns.
