This study explores the cognitive and emotional impact of AI-generated images in a human-robot interaction context aimed at stimulating autobiographical memory. An integrated system combining the Pepper robot with a generative model for real-time visualization of user-narrated memories was developed. A preliminary evaluation conducted on 15 participants highlighted a significant reduction in negative emotionality in users after interacting with the system (p = .01). Although the approach is promising for therapeutic applications, the results obtained suggest the need to improve the alignment between facial emotion recognition and self-reported affectivity, highlighting the importance of multimodal assessment tools.
