摘要
The Ukraine crisis has made the situation in the Russia-Central Asia region more complex, with escalating gamesmanship among various parties. Issues such as power struggles, military disagreements, and social dissatisfaction within Russia have become prominent. In June 2023, the Wagner mercenary group staged a rebellion, which was quelled in the short term, but the risk of domestic turmoil remains in the future. Western countries such as the United States and Europe are escalating sanctions against Russia, limiting Russia's income from oil and gas exports, and restraining Russia's power; on the other hand, they are continuously enhancing military aid to Ukraine, causing the Ukraine crisis to continue to ferment. In addition, the deterioration of Russia-Europe relations, the strengthening of cooperation between the United States and Europe in the fields of energy, food, and other commodities, has strengthened the binding of interests between the United States and Europe. The Ukraine crisis has brought the risk of great power confrontation to its highest level since the Cold War, and the issue of nuclear weapons use has become a focus of international attention.
