The continuity and endurance of frog god worship is evident in Northwestern painted pottery culture. Frog figurines, common in Chinese prehistoric art, like Christ on the Cross, were once objects of worship imbued with religious and mythological significance. This paper begins with image narratives, seeking to trace the profound prehistoric origins of text narratives within the history of civilization. Hence, it connects image and text narratives as different expressions of the same mythological belief tradition. From this macroscopic longitudinal perspective, the frog god creation myths of ethnic groups are reinterpreted and seen as a legacy of prehistoric image narratives of frog god mythology passed on orally and textually to future generations.

摘要
