Communication Terminal Signal Integrity Analysis Based on the Hyper Lynx System
摘要
The bottleneck encountered in high-speed digital system design is whether the system can be made smaller in size while maintaining signal integrity. The factors that trigger signal integrity problems mainly include: impedance matching, the presence of electromagnetic interference, the appropriateness of the transmission line length, crosstalk, oscillation, etc. The key link in transforming electronic products from the initial theory into real-life products is the PCB design. Usually, in the early and late stages of PCB design, signal integrity simulation tools are needed. By analyzing the simulation results, the PCB design and layout and wiring strategies can be further optimized. The simulation tool software HyperLynx is easy to operate and has powerful functions. This software contains two tools, LineSim and BoardSim. LineSim is a simulation tool used before PCB wiring. The simulation results can provide solutions to signal integrity problems, such as setting parameters for each layer, constraining wiring conditions, diagnosing signal integrity, minimizing electromagnetic radiation problems, reducing crosstalk, etc. BoardSim is a simulation tool used after wiring. It can quickly analyze signal integrity problems such as electromagnetic compatibility and crosstalk in the design, and can generate a crosstalk intensity report to distinguish and solve crosstalk problems.
