The first step to carry out quantitative research on the operation performance of green buildings is the basic data collection and database establishment, including energy consumption, IEQ and occupant satisfaction. Western developed countries have earlier built building energy and IEQ databases and accumulated large-scale data, such as CBECS in the United States, BPIE in the European Union and DECC in Japan (building energy databases); CBE in the United States, COPE in Canada and BOSSA in Australia (IEQ databases).
