This research aims to examine the impact of changing costs on the inventory model for decaying goods. For items with exponentially diminishing demand that are deteriorating, the study suggests an EOQ inventory mathematical model. The concept allows for shortages and partial backorders of products with salvage value. The rate of stockpiling varies depending on the length of time until the next replenishment, and the cost of ordering and holding are variable. It has been identified what the best solution is, and the demonstrations have shown that the objective cost function that results in the lowest cost is jointly convex. The model has been numerically tested, and adequate sensitivity analysis has been performed. This study acknowledges that the rate of deterioration is expected to be constant and that backlogs have an inversely proportional relationship to the amount of time it takes for replenishment to occur.

摘要
