This research aims to investigate the effects of jute fibers on the mechanical properties of M30-grade concrete, with a focus on compressive, flexural, and split tensile strength. Results from previous research highlight the importance of optimizing fiber length and content. In the current study, concrete specimens were prepared with Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) and reinforced with jute fibers of varying lengths (10, 20, and 30 mm) at a dosage of 0.25% by concrete weight. The study found that the addition of jute fibers resulted in a reduction in compressive strength, particularly with longer fibers, but significantly improved the flexural and split tensile strength of the concrete. The maximum improvements in flexural and split tensile strength were observed with 10 mm fibers, with increases of 25% and 30.42%, respectively. The findings suggest that shorter jute fibers are more effective for enhancing the mechanical properties of concrete, making them a viable reinforcement material for improving the durability and performance of concrete structures. This study provides insights into optimizing fiber length and dosage for improved concrete performance in various applications.

摘要
