Cyber forensics is the use of science methods to get a clear picture of what cybercriminals do. It’s about gathering, processing, and making sense of digital proof for analyzing theft. When looking into crimes, cyber forensic research is a very important tool. A lot of work has been put into computer analysis, but it will likely still have to deal with new problems soon. In forensics, it is very important to look at digital media like photos, audio recordings, and video recordings. The main topic of this study is digital forensics. Digital forensic research can be done in a number of ways. Deep learning (DL), especially convolutional neural network (CNN), has shown a lot of promise in the field of sound analysis and classifying digital pictures. In this paper, CNN is used to give a full look at new investigative research and methods in order to help other researchers who are working in this area. First, we described and talked about some early versions of DL. In the next part, we’ll talk about CNN, one of several DL models, and how it can be used in digital forensics. Finally, the end and plans for future work are talked about. CNN has been good at most types of forensics, and the review shows that they still have room to get better.
