This chapter attempts to give a historical overview of utopia and then argue that ecopedagogy is utopia-saturated and analyze ecological civilization and sustainability function as utopian thoughts. Furthermore, the two aspects of the inner chapter two Zhuangzi, Qiwulun, one aspect is nonanthropocentrism and another point is transformation of myriad things. Then, the chapter concludes with how utopia, ecological civilization, sustainability and Qiwulun are correlated. The key point of this chapter is trying to provide a cultural and ethical understanding of ecological civilization (生态文明) and sustainability.
