Existing studies focus on domestic applications, overlooking overseas application under the Belt and Road Initiative. This book examines China’s state-led CSR framework for overseas operations, focusing on Africa. Using legal documents, fieldwork, and case studies, the study identifies strengths and limitations of the state-centric approach model in promoting China’s sustainable investment in Africa. It proposes policy reforms for improving China’s overseas CSR and green investment framework.
