Death is a natural, universal, and inevitable reality of existence. Though death may occur at any moment of life span, its probability increases manifolds in old age. This makes death-anxiety among older adults a critical area of mental health concern, which in the recent times of COVID-19 pandemic is aggravated substantially. The present paper intends to explore correlates and components of death-anxiety among the elderly through extensive review of literature. The study aims to examine the factors that influence death-anxiety among the elderly. The study findings provide insights into interventions on death preparedness, which is one of the significant developmental task in old age as propounded by Havighurst.
