Since breakdance was selected for the 2024 Olympics in Paris, France, Chinese colleges and universities have been offering breakdance courses. In this context, known for its convenience and live feel, the study of virtual technology in conjunction with breakdance classes is gaining popularity. Within the domain of breakdance instruction and competitions, especially for beginners and breakers, VR applications have gained traction. By recreating the historical backdrop of breakdance and immersing users in a virtual interactive environment, these applications allow for an exploration and learning of breakdance culture in a more engaging way, serving as a platform for cultural experience and learning. This paper proposes a content design concept for breakdance, structured around three key aspects: users’ classifying, interactive storytelling, and virtual interaction. Implemented in the Interactive Chinese Breakdance ExperienZone, this approach aims to contribute to the revitalization of breakdance in China.
