India has been striving hard to develop its infrastructure to become a developed country by 2047. Incorporating green practices into infrastructure helps overall development as it considers all three 3 factors (Economic, Social, and Environmental). Schemes such as National Infrastructure Pipeline, PM Gati Shakti national master plan, and National Monetization Pipeline have been launched to enhance infrastructure development, including renewable energy, transport, waste management, urban planning, and construction of buildings. Despite all these efforts, India is facing sustainable infrastructure challenges. The study employs a quantitative research approach to measure the policy formulation, implementation, and policy-to-practice transformation relationship. Multiple linear regression (MLR) model is used to forecast the degree to which policy formulation and implementation drive the transition of policies to practice. This research seeks to strengthen the significance of policy formulation and implementation in driving effective transitions from policy guidelines to practice, offering a data-driven foundation for policy improvement and refinement. This research contributes to the literature, fills knowledge gaps in literature, and serves as a valuable guide to policymakers on sustainable infrastructure development in India. Adopting appropriate policies, strategies, and promotions mitigates these problems.
