In this decade during rainy season the southern states of India were affected by heavy floods and leads to disaster. By this disaster many causeways were destroyed and some people were lost their life. It affected the economy of the nation. The main aim of this project is to save the lives of hostages on causeway during heavy floods. A causeway is located at a distance of 10 km from a dam or reservoir. As the water in dam over flows due to heavy rains, the sensors which are fixed in dam indicate the danger level of water. It will give information about heavy floods by blowing of red lights and ringing of alarms. By this information the gates at causeway will be closed to stop the transportation of vehicles over the causeway. Some vehicles on causeway will get back to safe zone before the gates were closed. Using hydraulic jack system, the causeway will be raised to certain height, remaining vehicles and hostages on the causeway will be safe. The hostages on the causeway will be saved by the rescue team. It is working on ultrasonic sensors. The sensor attached in the dam indicates the water level. The monitor is controlled by using an app Blynk IoT. It creates awareness the people about the caution during heavy flood. And no need of manual inspection as the Sensor performs all the functions. By using the technology, it is able to save the lives and properties of those hostages on causeway during heavy floods and economy of the nation.
