As China’s population ages, the issue of home-based elderly care is becoming increasingly prominent, with seniors generally facing needs for health monitoring, daily assistance, and emotional companionship. In response to the national “silver economy” policy, this study designs a home-based elderly care robot called “Companion Star” through systematic ergonomics analysis and user demand research, aiming to provide functional support and emotional interaction. With the further development of artificial intelligence and other technologies, home-based elderly care robots will play a greater role in age-friendly renovations and smart elderly care, offering innovative solutions to address the challenges of population aging.
