Railway drivers' occupational environment involves enclosed cabins and prolonged solitary operations, significantly impacting their well-being, necessitating effective relaxation strategies to improve next-day performance. Grounded in Effort-Recovery (ERT) and Conservation of Resources (COR) theories, this 10-day study tracked 59 drivers to assess post-work solitude and social experiences' effects on cognitive performance and fatigue recovery. Key findings revealed: (1) strongest synergy with high-quality solitude-social combinations; (2) social activities surpassed solitude in predicting next-day outcomes under single-modality conditions; (3) solitude modalities varied in enhancing cognition. These findings support developing personalized health programs for railway enterprises, enhancing drivers' occupational health and job efficacy.

摘要
