In Chap. 7 we have presented monotonically growing instabilities which are caused by dissipative processes. Instabilities caused by dissipative processes are not limited to those which grow monotonically. Dissipative processes can amplify oscillations with time. The growth of oscillations is called overstability. In this chapter we present dissipative processes which make oscillations overstable.

摘要
