Evaluating an E-Learning Framework for Enhancing Design Learning in India
摘要
This article examines a case study on developing a practical e-learning framework for learning design in India. D’ Source is an open e-learning platform created under the National Mission Project in Education through Information Communication Technology (NME-ICT), specifically focusing on design education in India. It investigates the learner experience through a web analytic tool. The platform data was collected from June 17, 2023, to June 17, 2024. This data encompasses new users, return users, engagement duration, geographic user distribution, language preferences, technology usage, page views, and bounce rate. The learner demographics, behavior, and technology usage results are showcased through impactful visualization tools, including line charts, pie charts, bar charts, and map overlays. The study identifies that most platform users are from India, exhibiting relatively short engagement periods and a high bounce rate. The study is novel, marking the first web analytics research conducted on an open e-learning platform for design learning in India. The findings are expected to inspire the development of new innovative e-learning environments in the design sector.
