This study evaluates the energy demand for thermal comfort in the workspaces of the Dora Library, a repository for the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) Library (“NTNU UB Fellesmagasin”), located in the Dora I WWII submarine bunker in Trondheim, Norway (Lat. 63.4°N Long. 10.4°E). This research analyses five years (2020–2024) of indoor temperature data collected in staff offices, and future outdoor temperature from Copernicus Climate Data Store (CDS). Using the intermediate Socio-economic Pathways future climate scenario (SSP2-4.5), the study assesses how heating energy demand varies throughout the year under different workplace usage patterns. Each pattern reflects a different frequency of occupancy by Dora Library employees (i.e., high and low frequency). Moreover, two alternative scenarios are explored with respect to the actual indoor thermal conditions for energy saving purposes. The outcomes offer insights into the energy implications of climate control in the office area of Dora Library.

摘要
