Construction of Teachers’ Practical Knowledge Model in STEM Education in the Age of AI

AI-powered STEM education not only effectively cultivates Innovative and practical abilities of students, but also provides a valuable platform for teachers to generate and develop practical knowledge in dynamic teaching contexts. This paper attempts to construct an ERCTC model for generating of STEM teachers’ practical knowledge, based on the theoretical foundations of experiential learning theory and cultural-historical activity theory. This model is composed of five interrelated elements: Experience, Reflection, Collaboration, Technology, and Context. Based on this framework, the study further explores pathways for cultivating teachers’ practical knowledge, aiming to offer meaningful insights for both the professional growth of teachers and the advancement of STEM education.
