This paper presents a four-port antenna that has compact dimension and produces high radiation gain, capable of being deployed to multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) wireless communication systems. The principle to achieve compact size is to utilize self-decoupled and patch miniaturization techniques. Besides, each port of the MIMO antenna array is established by feeding multiple radiating patches through a T-junction power divider. Accordingly, high gain radiation with compact size and planar structure can be obtained. The simulated performance of the 4-port MIMO antenna indicates that it can offer an operational bandwidth of 140 MHz, ranging from 4.71 to 4.85 GHz, in which its isolation values are always greater than 15 dB. Additionally, the gain within this band is higher than 6.0 dBi with the maximum value of 7.4 dBi.

摘要
