Design, Analysis, and Energy Assessment of a Multi-story Building
摘要
The project involves analyzing, developing, and evaluating the energy efficiency of a multi-story structure. This project, which incorporates AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro, and REVIT, aims to develop multi-story structures that not only mean pervasive structural requirements but also prioritize energy efficiency and sustainability. First, detailed architectural designs are generated in AutoCAD to ensure correctness in layout and design. STAAD.Pro is then used for structural analysis, which involves simulating various loading situations and evaluating the structural integrity of the building. REVIT was used for both energy assessments and building information modeling (BIM). REVIT’s energy analysis capabilities enable the evaluation of the energy performance of the building as well as the identification of areas for sustainable design and energy efficiency improvements. STAAD.Pro RCDC was used to determine the most accurate bar bending schedule, as well as provide an efficient BOQ summary and preliminary estimate of the RCC framed construction. A comparison study of the energy analysis of the existing structure and the energy-efficient building was carried out using INSIGHT 360, an authorized Autodesk plug-in. The existing building’s energy unit was 21.0 USD/sq.m/yr, which had been reduced to 17.7 USD/sq.m/yr after the energy assessment. This integrated approach ensures the creation of resilient, resource-efficient, and environmentally conscious buildings through the integration of precise architectural planning, rigorous structural analysis, and comprehensive energy evaluation, all of which align with contemporary standards of construction excellence and sustainable development.
